Function:
The function of the Finnish Jazz & Pop Archive is to collect, preserve and provide access to materials relating to Finnish popular music and its history

Private archive that seeks no financial benefit, maintained by The Members’ Association of Finnish Jazz & Popular Music
Archival extent:
370 shelf meters of recordings, video tapes, photographs, interviews, hand-written and printed sheet music, correspondence, books, music papers, memorabilia and business agreements
Archival specialties:
Donations by musicians and their estates, unpublished recordings
Special collections:
Private collections donated by the estates of Finnish composers and writers (e.g. Toivo Kärki, Rauno Lehtinen, Kullervo Linna), archives of Fazer Music and other music industry documents donated by Warner Music Finland
Other activities:
Expert on digitization and digital preservation, publishing books and CDs, arranging concerts, administering the Erik Lindström Fund that supports young jazz musicians
