Function:
Information Center for Dutch Music in general, part of collection is archive for Dutch Jazz in particular.

Archive:
Sound recordings: Official recordings on LPs, 78rpm, 45 rpm, CDs. Unique recordings on tape, cassette etc., video tapes and DVDs. Books, clippings, scrapbooks, periodicals, photographs, posters, music manuscripts, private correspondences, memorabilia.

Archival extent:
The Jazzcollection has approximately 30.000 sound recordings, 3.000 books, 30 meters of clippings, 8 meters of photographs. 30 periodicals.

Archival specialties:
Dutch Jazz.

Special collections:
Michiel de Ruyter collection (Dutch jazz promoter), several collections of unique sound recordings. Sound archive of the Bimhuis, Amsterdam.

Other activities:
CD releases of "famous" concerts in Holland, and reissue of important records.

Staff:
1,5 fulltime units (separated over 4 persons) working on the jazz collection, 6 volunteers.
